Past tenses

The Simple Past is used to describe a complete action. To form past tenses, it’s helpful to remember this:
  • Most past tense verbs end in -ed, certain verbs have irregular past tense forms that do not follow this rule.
Be, have, and do are the most commonly used irregular verbs. Unfortunately, memorizing these irregular verbs is the only way to completely master the past tense.
